For many years it has been recognized that productivity in
manufacturing
processes can be increased through clever usage
of on-machine probing. Real productivity gains have however
mostly been associated with rapid part setup. Additional gains
from reduced manual inspection and efficient in-process checks
have been more difficult to implement on a wide basis. For this
reason, m&h and Wilcox Associates teamed up to make using
on-machine probing much simpler and more efficient.

The startup screen of the software provides a simple overview of current status, the loaded program, the current location of the machine and the active work offset and entry point into the menu

PC-DMIS NC Gage makes using on-machine probing much simpler and more efficient, in essence increasing the productivity of the probing system, enabling manufacturers to truly attain the productivity benefits of probes

A color coded ASCII report is created showing features in and out of tolerance

Moving the cursor up and down in the program list, displays comments, nominal and last measured values for any feature in the program

Supported measurement functions are displayed as easy understandable icons on the screen
