Radio-wave Probing Systems

m&h radio-wave probes are touch trigger probes. When approaching a workpiece surface, the stylus deflects and a trigger signal is transmitted to the receiver by radio wave. This receiver converts the radio waves to an electrical signal sent to the control. Interference-free signal transmission between probe and receiver is absolutely vital for process-reliable measuring on machine tools. Radio transmission is effected in the 433 MHz frequency band being internationally approved and providing particularly high penetration. 64 channels can be easily adjusted on the digital display both on the probe and the receiver. The patented SCS (Self Channel Select) technology of the microprocessor-controlled receiver responds to interference signals by continuously checking the environment. The receiver will block corrupted frequencies from further use and will suggest the best alternative frequency. Combining these two technologies ensures process-reliable radio transmission.
Radio-wave Touch Probe RWP20.41
» more
The touch probe RWP20.41 has been designed for complex measuring tasks. Modular extensions enable measuring inside the workpiece or in deep cavities. The freely adjustable trigger force allows both triggering on very thin-walled workpieces at minimum trigger force and the use of heavy cross probes at maximum force.

Radio-wave Touch Probe RWP38.41
» more
The compact radio-wave touch probe RWP38.41 has been developed for machines requiring signal transmission across greater distances where infrared transmission is not sufficient. It is ideally suited for use on machine tools with limited maximum tool diameter and restricted height of the Z axis, particularly with 5-axis heads. It can be extended in a modular way and is the perfect solution for complex measurements. Thanks bi-directional communication the RWP38.41 can be combined with the radio-wave tool setter RWT35.50 and the receiver RWR95.40.

Temperature Probe RWTP20.44
» more
The temperature probe RWTP20.44 is intended for use on large machining centres and 5-axis machines when infrared transmission is not sufficient. It acquires, fully automatically, the part temperature before and during the machining (patented). This enables improved control of the production process and tuning of machining parameters during ongoing production. Temperature-dependent parameters can thus be determined with certainty before the part is taken to the next machining step with a tolerance specification, ensuring a uniformly high manufacturing quality.

Radio-wave Tool Setter RWT35.50
» more
The Radio-wave Tool Setter RWT35.50 for vertical lathes, large milling machines and machining centers enables variable positioning of the tool setter, to fit the task at hand. Through use of a magnetic mount, the tool setter can be placed in wide range of table positions. Our patent pending system delivers highly accurate and repeatable re-positioning of the tool setter. With wireless operation and no permanently fixed hardware, use of the RWT35.50 does not restrict or interfere with the machining area in any way. Now tool measurement can be done flexibly with a single instrument, including in machines operating with alternating machining stations.

Radio-wave Receiver RWR95.40
» more
The compact radio-wave receiver RWR95.40 communicates with all m&h radio-wave probes, including the temperature probe. It is sealed to IP68 and can be mounted anywhere in the machining area with ease. Measurement and temperature data are transmitted using the high-penetration transmitting frequency of 433 MHz. While in operation, the environment is continuously checked for interference from transmitters (SCS). Corrupted channels are blocked, non-corrupted displayed for use making it easy to adapt to varying radio conditions.
